The ACI A/SP-PUP is a stainless steel wall plate pickup port — a 302-series brushed stainless steel single-gang wall plate with an integrated barbed tubing fitting and cross-linked polyethylene foam gasket. Designed for indoor building static pressure measurement in environments where the standard plastic room port would be inappropriate: clinical wash-down areas, pharmaceutical clean spaces, laboratories, vivariums, and any application requiring a corrosion-resistant, easy-to-clean wall surface.
Mounts on the back of a standard 1-gang stainless steel plate; includes two 6-32 x 3/4 in machine screws for junction box mounting. The foam gasket insulates the sensor port from drafts in the wall cavity and seals the installation opening. Used in conjunction with any low-DP differential pressure transmitter or room status monitor accepting 3/16 in tubing — the brushed stainless finish wipes clean with standard hospital-grade disinfectants and resists corrosion from typical disinfectant chemistry. Operating temperature range −40 to 150°F supports installations exposed to non-conditioned conditions.
Indoor wash-down environments where the standard plastic room port would be unsuitable: clinical wash-down areas (most hospital infection-control protocols), pharmaceutical clean spaces, laboratories with aggressive disinfectant cleaning, vivariums, and any application requiring corrosion-resistant, easy-to-clean wall surface finishes alongside the building static pressure reference.
Key Features
302-series stainless steel wall plate with a brushed finish — corrosion-resistant, wipe-clean surface designed for clinical wash-down protocols, pharmaceutical clean spaces, vivariums, and any indoor environment where the standard plastic port would be inappropriate.
Operating temperature range -40 to 150 deg F (storage -40 to 160 deg F) supports installations in non-conditioned ancillary spaces, mechanical rooms, walk-in coolers, and any indoor location outside the typical clean-room HVAC envelope.
Compressible foam gasket insulates the sensor port from wall-cavity drafts and seals the installation opening. FMUSS-302 flammability rating. The foam compresses on installation to seal the port hole flush against the wall.
Integrated filter rated for 150 psi maximum operating pressure (10.3 bar). Protects the sensing path while allowing pressure changes to pass through cleanly.
Mounts as a standard 1-gang stainless steel wall plate on a single-gang junction box. Includes (2) #6-32 x 3/4 in machine screws. The wall plate aesthetic fits clinical, lab, and pharmaceutical architectural specs that call for stainless steel finishes throughout.
The brushed stainless finish wipes clean with standard hospital-grade disinfectants, isopropyl alcohol, or mild detergent and water. RoHS2, WEEE, and REACH compliant.

Frequently Asked Questions
The A/SP-PUP is a stainless steel wall plate pickup port — a corrosion-resistant indoor reference pressure tap. Typical installations are in clinical wash-down areas, pharmaceutical clean spaces, vivariums, laboratories, and any indoor environment where the standard plastic room port would be inappropriate. Captures room static pressure and routes it through 3/16 in ID tubing to a differential pressure transmitter.
Tubing is sold separately. The port uses a barbed fitting that accepts 3/16 in ID flexible poly tubing. ACI offers FDA-compliant medical-grade flexible PVC tubing kits in 10 ft (A/10' TUBE), 20 ft (A/20' TUBE), 50 ft (A/50' TUBE), and 100 ft (A/100' TUBE) lengths. For best results, keep the tubing run as short as practical — long runs slow response time and can develop condensation traps that corrupt readings.
Avoid locations next to supply air diffusers or return air grilles — localized airflow corrupts the reading. For overall building static, an ideal location is on the first floor in a common hallway area, away from doors that open frequently to outside. For room-specific status (isolation, clean room), mount inside the monitored space at typical sensing height (5 to 6 ft above finished floor).
For positive pressure (clean room, protected isolation, immunocompromised patient rooms): high port of the transmitter goes inside the monitored space (connect to the A/SP-PUP mounted in the room); low port goes outside or in the reference hallway. For negative pressure (lab containment, source isolation, infectious patient rooms): high port goes in the hallway; low port goes inside the lab or isolation room (connect to the A/SP-PUP).
Any low-DP differential pressure transmitter with a barbed fitting accepting 3/16 in ID tubing — including ACI's own DLP and MLP2 series, BAPI ZPM zone pressure multi-sensors, Dwyer RSM, RSME, and RSMC StabiliSENSE room status monitors, Senva pressure transmitters, and most other manufacturers' low-DP air pressure transmitters. The pickup port is a passive accessory — brand compatibility is determined by the tubing fitting size, not by electronic interfacing.
Yes — the 302-series brushed stainless steel wall plate is the standard specification for clinical wash-down protocols. Clean with hospital-grade disinfectants, isopropyl alcohol, or mild detergent and water. Avoid abrasive scouring pads which can damage the brushed finish. The internal foam gasket is sealed behind the wall plate and is not in the wash-down path.
