Break Glass Stations

Pilla break glass emergency stations are UL Listed control stations that require the physical breaking of a glass lens or panel to actuate — providing an irreversible, auditable activation record at the point of emergency. Common applications include emergency electrical disconnect, boiler shut-down, chiller stop, generator stop, HVAC shut-down, fuel shut-off, ventilation control, and refrigerant purge across commercial and industrial facilities.

ZOT Supply stocks the full Pilla ST120 break glass line as an authorized distributor — surface-mount and flush-mount configurations across NEMA 1, 3R, 4&12, 4X nonmetallic, and 304 stainless steel enclosures. Most models are available with no push button (auto-release when glass broken), a momentary button behind glass, or a maintained button behind glass. Contact blocks are ordered separately and most stations accept 1–6 stackable contact blocks.

Operator Options Available Behind Glass

No Button — Auto-Release
Breaking the glass panel directly releases the contact mechanism. No secondary button required. The most common configuration for emergency electrical disconnect.
BP1 — Momentary Button
A momentary round push button sits behind the glass. Glass must be broken to access the button. Self-resetting — delivers a pulse only.
BP2 — Maintained Button
A maintained push-on/push-off button sits behind the glass. Latches in the actuated position after being pressed. Requires a second press to reset.

Available legends include: Emergency Electrical Disconnect, Emergency Boiler Shut-Down, Emergency Chiller Stop, Emergency Fuel Shut-Off, Emergency Gas Shut-Off, Emergency Generator Stop, Emergency HVAC Shut-Down, Emergency Power Off, Emergency Refrigeration Stop, Emergency Shut-Down, Emergency Shut-Off, Emergency Stop, Emergency Ventilation On/Start/Stop/Shut-Down, Exhaust Fan, Refrigerant Purge, and custom labels — most available across all enclosure types and operator configurations.
