ACI A/RH5-D-BB : Duct Relative Humidity Sensor, 5% Accuracy, RH Outputs: 0-5, 0-10 VDC & 4-20mA (Default), NEMA 3R Duct Enclosure, Made in USA
The ACI Relative Humidity Duct sensors are specifically designed for monitoring and control of humidity levels in ductwork systems. These sensors utilize a thermoset polymer capacitive sensing element that provides accurate humidity measurements. To enhance moisture resistance, the sensing element comes with a factory-fitted hydrophobic filter. The multilayer construction of the sensing element ensures excellent resistance to dust, dirt, oils, and common environmental chemicals, making the RH duct sensors suitable for demanding applications where such contaminants are present.
The RH duct sensors feature on-board DIP switches, allowing users to select the desired output signal. They can be powered by either AC or DC power sources, providing flexibility for installation in various ductwork systems. To ensure proper functionality and wiring, each unit contains 0%, 50%, and 100% test options. These options enable the verification of the transmitter's performance and proper installation.
Field calibration can be performed using the increment and decrement calibration DIP switches, eliminating the need for sensor replacement. This calibration method offers increased flexibility and maintains long-term reliability.
The duct configurations of the ACI Relative Humidity sensors feature a weatherproof Euro-style enclosure with a gasketed cover. This design provides protection against environmental elements and ensures reliable operation in ductwork systems. The circuit boards of these sensors are conformally coated, further increasing their resistance to moisture in high humidity environments.
The ACI Relative Humidity Duct sensors find applications in various settings, including:
- Humidification and Dehumidification: These sensors can be used in ductwork systems to monitor and control humidity levels for effective humidification or dehumidification processes.
- Supply/Discharge/Return Air: The RH duct sensors are suitable for monitoring humidity levels in supply, discharge, and return air ducts, ensuring comfortable and healthy indoor environments.
- Economizers: In HVAC systems with economizers, these sensors can provide accurate humidity measurements to optimize energy efficiency and control ventilation.
- Clean Rooms: Critical environments such as clean rooms require precise humidity control, and the RH duct sensors can help achieve and maintain the desired humidity levels.
- Data Centers: Controlling humidity levels in data centers is crucial for protecting sensitive equipment from potential damage and ensuring optimal performance.
- Process Control: Industries relying on specific humidity conditions in their processes, such as manufacturing and chemical production, can benefit from these sensors for accurate monitoring and control.
- Schools, Hospitals, and Office Buildings: The RH duct sensors contribute to a comfortable and healthy indoor environment by enabling precise humidity control in educational, healthcare, and office facilities.
