The ASE DS-5C is a rain/snow sensor controller that can be used to automatically activate and deactivate snow melting systems. It has an integral precipitation sensor that can detect a single snowflake or raindrop. The controller can be mounted outdoors and is powered by 100-277V AC. It has two control outputs, each rated at 30A @ 277V AC or 20A @ 28V DC. The DS-5C also has a number of features that can be used to customize its operation, such as a trigger temperature adjustment, a delay-off timer, and a manual override switch.
