The Belimo AFXUP-S is a fail-safe damper actuator with a torque of 180 in-lb, designed for reliable fail-safe applications and positive close off on air-tight dampers. Operating on universal power from 24 to 240 VAC or 24 to 125 VDC, this actuator features an on/off control signal and comes with (2) SPDT 3A @250V auxiliary switches.

Equipped with a spring return system, the AFXUP-S series ensures constant torque to the damper, whether power is applied or not. The actuator provides 95° of rotation, with a graduated position indicator displaying 0° to 95°. It can be stalled anywhere in its normal rotation without requiring mechanical end switches. The Belimo AFBUP-S actuator features a reversible fail-safe direction of rotation, selectable motion motor direction by CCW/CW mounting, and a manual override with a 5 mm hex crank supplied.

The AFXUP-S actuator is designed with a running time of 75 s/90° for the motor and a fail-safe running time of less than 20 s. The enclosure type is UL Enclosure Type 2, suitable for ambient temperatures ranging from -22 to 122°F (-30 to 50°C). The actuator is shipped at 5° from full fail-safe, automatically compressing against damper gaskets for a tight shut-off. It comes with two built-in auxiliary switches, offering safety interfacing or signaling, with one switch function fixed at 10° and the other adjustable between 10° and 90°, providing versatile applications such as fan start-up.
