The Dwyer ADPS-08-2-N is a compact, cost-effective adjustable differential pressure switch for HVAC, ventilation, and building-automation applications. It covers a setpoint range of 0.08-1.20 in WC (20-300 Pa), uses a silicone diaphragm and SPDT relay output, and is field-adjusted with a dual-scaled knob (in WC and pascals) that lets a technician set the trip point without a separate manometer. Dual-Scale Field-Adjustable Knob

Setpoint is dialed in with a labeled knob graduated in both inches WC and pascals. Technicians can commission the switch without a separate digital manometer, which cuts installation and balancing time on large jobs.

Compact 4.4 oz Form Factor

What pressure range does the ADPS-08-2-N cover?
This SKU is the -08 range, with an adjustable setpoint of 0.08-1.20 in WC (20-300 Pa). Approximate deadband is 0.04 in WC (10 Pa) at the minimum setpoint and 0.05 in WC (12 Pa) at the maximum setpoint. Maximum operating overpressure is 40 in WC (10 kPa) and storage temperature range is -40 to 185 F.
What does the dual-scale adjustment knob do?
The adjustment knob is graduated in two unit systems on the same dial - inches of water column on one side, pascals on the other - so a technician can dial in the switching pressure directly without converting units or attaching a manometer. The scale is calibrated for vertical mounting with the pressure ports pointing down; if the switch is mounted horizontally, the actual trip point is approximately 0.08 in WC (20 Pa) higher than the scale reading.
Can the ADPS-08-2-N be used with natural gas or other combustible gases?

What's the difference between ADPS-08-2-N (-2-N) and the -1-N variant?
The connection digit specifies the electrical entry, not the process connection. The ADPS-08-2-N uses an M20x1.5 cable gland with integral strain relief, accepts 7 mm or 10 mm cable sheaths, and can be installed at any of three housing entry positions. The -1-N version of the same range uses a 1/2 in female NPT conduit entry instead. Pressure ports and switch ratings are identical between the two.
How is the ADPS different from the EDPS?
Same external footprint, same SPDT switch mechanism, same dual-scale knob, same performance ratings. The EDPS upgrades the housing plastics to UL94 V-0 flame rating and adds ETL listing to UL508 / CSA C22.2 No. 14. Pick the EDPS when the switch will be installed inside a UL-listed control panel or in a return-air plenum per NFPA 90A. The ADPS is the right choice for general HVAC monitoring where those listings are not required.
How do I plumb the process tubing to this switch?
Each port (P1 high, P2 low) accepts 1/4 in (6 mm) ID flexible tubing on the 5/16 in (7.94 mm) OD nipple. Push the tubing on firmly and route it without kinks - if the hose has to cross an edge, form a loop instead of a sharp bend. Dwyer also offers compatible static pressure tips and an installer kit (suffix -C on the same range code) that ships with the switch plus two tips and seven feet of PVC tubing.
