Strain-gauge readout

The Omega DP7600 is a high-speed, high-resolution 1/8 DIN strain-gauge readout performing 1000 conversions per second at 15-bit-plus-sign resolution, with peak/runout tracking, four limits and single-button tare on a 5-digit red LED.

Specifications per the OMEGA DP-7600 User’s Guide (M2838).

Overview

The Model DP-7600 is a high-speed, high-resolution strain-gauge readout that performs 1000 conversions per second at 15 bits plus sign. Limit checking and peak/runout tracking run at a user-selectable 1 to 500 Hz while the display shows a stable 1 Hz filtered reading. Peak and runout values are available from the front panel, and a tare of up to 50% of span can be captured with a single key press, then enabled or disabled through absolute and relative reading modes. Four limit setpoints drive front-panel LED status, all programming is done from five front-panel switches, and calibration is protected by a security code. Remote interfacing is available over RS-232/RS-485 or active-low logic inputs on the rear.

Best for

  • High-speed force, load and strain readout up to 1000 conversions per second
  • Peak and runout capture on test stands and presses
  • Limit and alarm indication with four independent setpoints
  • Single-button tare up to 50% of span with absolute/relative modes

Key Features

1000 readings/sec

High-speed acquisition at 1000 conversions per second with 15-bit-plus-sign resolution for fast, repeatable force and strain capture.

Peak & runout tracking

Tracks peak and runout at a user-selectable 1 to 500 Hz, displayable from the front panel, while showing a stable 1 Hz filtered reading.

Four limit setpoints

Four limits with front-panel LED status for alarm and pass/fail indication during data acquisition.

Single-button tare

Capture a tare of up to 50% of span with one key press; enable or disable it any time via absolute and relative modes without losing the value.

Front-panel programming

All setup from five front-panel switches, with calibration protected by a security code to prevent accidental changes.

Remote interfacing

Optional RS-232/RS-485 serial plus active-low logic inputs on the rear terminal for remote control and data access.
