ACI AUD VERSION #3 : Floating Point Input, Rates of Change Seconds 45, 60, 120, 240s, Field Selectable Analog Output, 2-Year Warranty
The AUD converts a floating point signal into a smooth analog output, with inputs to either increase or decrease the output. The output remains steady when both inputs are off. Activating the up or down input will cause the output to ramp in that direction, stopping when the input is deactivated and holding the last value until another signal is received. If both inputs are on, the output resets to the lowest value in the selected range.
Upon power-up or after a power loss, the reset behavior depends on the version:
- Versions other than Version 3 and the AUD2 reset to the minimum output.
- Version 3 resets to the maximum output after 3.5 seconds if both inputs are held.
- AUD2 resets to the midpoint.
The output is analog (voltage or current) and can be adjusted for specific needs using DIP switches or offset and gain adjustments. The AUD prevents "wrap-around," holding at max or min values if reached, with an adjustable rate of change.
Applications include:
- Variable speed and motor control
- Contact integration
- Floating point to analog conversion
- Positioning and actuator control
