ACI ASA : Analog Input, Analog Output, Analog Signal Amplifier

The ASA is an analog signal amplifier that takes in an analog signal (voltage or current) and produces a voltage output. It is designed to provide the necessary power (wattage) to control MaxitrolTM Gas Valves commonly found in rooftop units for Building Automation Systems. The ASA offers preset input ranges that can be selected via jumpers, and it allows for precise adjustments using top-adjust trimmer potentiometers. The output gain is adjustable, ranging from 1 to 20 times the input, and this gain may vary depending on the input type. The ASA can also accept resistance input through voltage divider applications. The output's offset can be adjusted in the range of +/- 0 to 20 VDC.

For power levels above 30 watts, it's important to derate the load current and recalculate using the provided formulas. The ASA is field calibratable, but factory calibration can be requested for quicker installation.

Applications of the ASA include providing sufficient power for controlling MaxitrolTM Gas Valves, increasing the current rating of analog signals, dimming ballast control (sinking drivers only), adapting non-compatible signals, and converting resistance to voltage or current to voltage.
