ACI MAO : Analog Input, Analog Output, Manual Analog Override Switch w/ Alarm

The Manual Analog Override (MAO) is a device that is positioned between a controller and an actuator to enable adjustable analog manual control when necessary. In standard operation, two analog signals flow from the controller through the MAO to each actuator. By switching the override mode from automatic to manual on either MAO output, you can independently adjust the analog signal. Each output can have a distinct range and can be either analog current or voltage. When the switch is in the manual position, an optional alarm output contact is activated or deactivated to signal that the override is in use.

Applications for the MAO include providing a temporary override in case the controller malfunctions, checking the actuator and linkage operation, and offering alarm feedback while the override is active.
