The BAPI BA/1K-PP-18"-BB2 is a single-point remote sensor built around a heat conductive plastic cup 0.875 in long on a 0.175 in diameter shell and a passive 1K Platinum RTD (385 Curve). It ships with 18 in (0.46 m) of plenum-rated cable, factory-terminated into a BAPI-Box 2 (BB2) enclosure.
Remote sensors are built for tight spots — inside electronic circuit enclosures, retrofitted into existing pneumatic thermostats, or dropped into a junction box behind a wall plate. The element is passive and has no polarity, so both leads land directly on any controller analog input configured for the 1K Platinum RTD curve. The BAPI-Box 2 (BB2) gives you a rated termination point right at the mounting surface instead of a splice above the ceiling.

Installation Notes
- Wire with twisted pair, 22 AWG minimum, using sealant-filled connectors. Heavier gauge may be needed on long runs.
- Do not share conduit with high or low voltage AC power wiring — BAPI testing shows signal error when AC runs alongside sensor leads.
- Two-wire passive element, no polarity. Land both leads on the controller analog input.
- Fits inside a standard junction box behind a wall plate cover, or retrofits into the body of an existing pneumatic thermostat.
- Mount the enclosure with #8 screws through at least two opposing tabs; a 1/8 in pilot hole makes this easier.
- Use caulk or Teflon tape on conduit entries, and bring conduit in from the bottom for outdoor or wet locations.
