The BAPI BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU Output Module (BA/DOM-BLE-EZ) converts data from up to 28 BAPI BLE wireless sensors for integration into RS-485 field networks. The output protocol is field-selectable using the free BAPI Device Configuration utility — one module covers both BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU without stocking separate part numbers.

Best for: BAS integrators integrating BAPI BLE wireless sensors into RS-485 field bus networks. Field-selectable protocol is ideal for contractors working across multiple controller platforms where either BACnet MS/TP or Modbus RTU may be required.

5-Year Warranty

Carries BAPI's 5-year warranty. Configuration connects via USB-C and does not require external power to the module — the USB cable provides necessary power during setup.

One Module, Two Protocols — Field Selectable

Download the BAPI Device Configuration utility from bapihvac.com. Connect a USB-C cable (no external power needed). Select BACnet MS/TP or Modbus RTU, configure baud rate and device address, and click Restart. In Modbus mode, the utility generates a downloadable Excel Modbus map with all register addresses for controller programming.

Field-Selectable Protocol

One device covers BACnet MS/TP and Modbus RTU. Select protocol at configuration time using the free BAPI Device Configuration utility. No need to stock separate variants.

USB-C Config — No External Power Needed

The USB-C port powers the module from the computer during setup. No panel power required to configure protocol, baud rate, device address, or object names.

Auto-Discovery of Sensors

Auto-discovers all sensors paired to the receiver. Objects populate after the module receives at least one transmission from each sensor.

Downloadable Modbus Map

In Modbus RTU mode, the utility generates an Excel Modbus map with register addresses, data types, and scaling for every sensor object — ready to use in controller programming.

What happens when a sensor stops transmitting?
In Modbus mode, an error register for the sensor changes to 1 after 35 minutes. In BACnet mode, Event State turns Fault and Reliability shows Communication Failure.
