The Belimo 22UT-52 is an active outdoor air temperature sensor with a 1″ [25 mm] external probe and a 1 × 0...5 V or 0...10 V, jumper-selectable output, housed in a NEMA 4X / IP65 polycarbonate enclosure. The sensing element technology is based on Pt1000 class AA, and eight measuring ranges are selectable by on-board jumper. Belimo publishes an accuracy of ±0.9°F @ 70°F [±0.5°C @ 21°C] at measuring range setting S2 and S4. Supply is AC/DC 24 V (AC 21.6...26.4 V / DC 13.5...26.4 V).
Specifications on this page are taken from the Belimo 22UT-52 technical data sheet (document footer dated 2026-08-26), as held in the ZOT Supply controlled document library. Verified 2026-08-26.
Outdoor air temperature input to a building automation system wherever the controller expects a 0-5 V / 0-10 V signal. Belimo lists cold stores, greenhouses, production plants and warehouses as the typical applications for this sensor.
Key Features
Eight Selectable Ranges
Eight measuring ranges are selectable by on-board jumper, from S0 through S7. Belimo ships the sensor set to S0.
0-5 V / 0-10 V Output
Output is 1 × 0...5 V or 0...10 V, jumper-selectable, min. 5 kΩ load resistance.
Pt1000 Class AA Sensing
Belimo lists the sensing element technology as based on Pt1000 class AA, with a published accuracy of ±0.9°F @ 70°F [±0.5°C @ 21°C] at measuring range setting S2 and S4 and long-term stability of ±0.07°F p.a. @ 70°F [±0.04°C p.a. @ 21°C].
Weather-Rated Enclosure
Polycarbonate housing with an NBR70 seal, rated NEMA 4X / IP65 and UL Enclosure Type 4X. The housing material is listed UV resistant and UL94 5VA.
Mounting Kit Included
Ships with the A-22D-A09 S-housing mounting plate, dowels, screws and a 1/2″ NPT conduit adapter, so no separate hardware pull is needed.
Field Trim and °C / °F Selection
An on-board potentiometer trims the reading by up to ±3 K (±3°C, ±5.4°F), and a separate jumper selects whether the measuring range is interpreted in °C or °F. The sensor has no display; the jumper sets the units the range is read in.

Belimo publishes the Fahrenheit and Celsius columns as two separate regional standard ranges, not as conversions of one another — the Fahrenheit column is the United States range and the Celsius column is the Canada and Latin America range (Belimo Sensors Brochure, p. 13). Set the jumper to the narrowest range that covers your expected operating point for the highest analog resolution. The selectable measuring range is a transmitter span and does not indicate the allowable fluid temperature for the sensor; see the ambient and fluid temperature limits in the specification table below.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Belimo 22UT-52 output?
The 22UT-52 outputs 1 × 0...5 V or 0...10 V, jumper-selectable, min. 5 kΩ load resistance. The span is set by the range jumper; Belimo ships the sensor set to S0, which is -30...130°F [-50...50°C].
What supply voltage does the Belimo 22UT-52 need?
Belimo lists a nominal voltage of AC/DC 24 V with a range of AC 21.6...26.4 V / DC 13.5...26.4 V. Power consumption is 0.8 VA (AC) / 0.4 W (DC).
What are the eight selectable measuring ranges?
S0 is -30...130°F, S1 is 0...250°F, S2 is 40...140°F, S3 is 30...480°F, S4 is 0...100°F, S5 is 40...240°F, S6 is 40...90°F and S7 is 0...150°F. S0 is the factory setting. Belimo prints the Fahrenheit and Celsius columns as separate regional standard ranges rather than conversions of one another, so the two columns will not agree arithmetically.
Does the selectable range set the temperature the sensor can survive?
No. Belimo states explicitly that the maximum measuring range listed does not indicate the allowable fluid temperature for the sensor. The published limits are an ambient temperature of -30...120°F [-35...50°C] and a fluid temperature of -35...50°C [-30...122°F].
What is the accuracy of the Belimo 22UT-52?
Belimo publishes ±0.9°F @ 70°F [±0.5°C @ 21°C] at measuring range setting S2 and S4. Long-term stability is ±0.07°F p.a. @ 70°F [±0.04°C p.a. @ 21°C].
Why is the time constant so long?
The published time constant τ (63%) is typically 542 s in the room. A damped response is normal for a weatherproof outdoor enclosure, where a sustained average matters more than transient gusts.
How does the Belimo 22UT-52 differ from the 22UT-54?
The two models are the same outdoor air sensor with different output stages. The 22UT-52 outputs 0-5 V / 0-10 V and is supplied with AC 21.6...26.4 V / DC 13.5...26.4 V; the 22UT-54 outputs 4-20 mA and is supplied with DC 13.5...26.4 V (DC only). Sensing element, probe length, range table, accuracy, enclosure and included parts are the same.
What is included with the Belimo 22UT-52?
Belimo lists the following parts included: mounting plate, s housing — type a-22d-a09; dowels; screws; 1/2″ npt conduit adapter.
