The Belimo Z3100Q-J is a 1" NPT, 3-way diverting ZoneTight zone valve (QCV): a forged brass ball valve with a chrome plated brass ball, Cv 4.4, linear flow characteristic, 0% leakage, 40 psi close-off and a 360 psi body pressure rating, for chilled or hot water up to 60% glycol. It takes a CQB(X) non fail-safe or CQKB(X) electronic fail-safe ZoneTight actuator, sold separately.
Suited to large commercial buildings where higher close-off is desired. The rotary actuator switches the change-over valve on an on/off signal. The valve fits space-restricted areas and assembles without tools: the actuator plugs onto the valve by hand, and its mounting orientation can be turned in 180° increments.

Warranty
Belimo covers the valve with a 5-year warranty. The warranty becomes invalid if fluid temperature exceeds 212°F because of a boiler control failure: the valve will safely contain the hot water, but valve and actuator replacement is then at the expense of others.
