Constructed of DZR low-lead brass and certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 (ICC-ES file PMG-1360), it sets and verifies circuit flow rate in domestic hot water recirculation and hydronic heating and cooling systems without separate pressure gauges, charts, or differential pressure meters. A built-in inlet check valve prevents reverse flow and circuit thermosiphoning.
To balance a circuit, pull the flow meter operating ring, read the GPM value directly on the graduated scale, adjust the valve to the design flow rate, and release. The bypass closes automatically after the reading, isolating the flow meter during normal operation for reliable readings over time.
