The Caleffi Z111000 is a Z-one series spring-return zone valve actuator, normally closed, powered at 24 V AC with on/off control and 18 in wire leads connection.
Best for hydronic zoning where the valve must drive itself back to its closed position on loss of power, without a battery or capacitor.

Normally Closed Spring Return
A pre-wound torsion spring back-drives the gear train when power is dropped, returning the paddle to the closed position in 6 seconds. No external power is needed to reach the safe position.
Tool-Free Push Button Mounting
An end-mounted push button locks the actuator to a Z2 or Z3 valve body and releases it for service without tools. The actuator is only for use with Z2 and Z3 series bodies.
Lost Motion Gear Train
A lost motion mechanism disengages the motor from the gear train at end of stroke, avoiding the impact of directly coupled gears. This allows higher spring force and higher close-off pressure without shortening motor life.
Auxiliary Microswitch Rated 0.0 - 0.4 A @ 24 V
The switch trips when the valve reaches 60 percent open or when the manual lever is used. The 24 V sealed reed switch needs no minimum current load, so it drives relays, boiler TT contacts and DDC inputs directly.
Manual Open Lever
The manual lever opens the valve and resets automatically when power is restored. On 24 V models it also trips the auxiliary microswitch, so start-up wiring can be proved without firing the valve from the thermostat.
UL 1995 Section 18 Plenum Rated
Approved to UL 873, cUL Listed and CE, and rated under UL 1995 section 18 for installation in air plenums and ducts. Indoor use only.
