Dwyer 2-5000-0 : Minihelic II Differential Pressure Gage, 0 to 0.5 in w.c., Barbed Connection

The Dwyer 2-5000-0 is a Series 2-5000 Minihelic II differential pressure gage with a 0 to 0.5 in w.c. range and barbed connections for 3/16 in. ID tubing. It is a dial-type gage for air and compatible non-corrosive gases, accurate to +/-5% of full scale, rated for 30 psig continuous total pressure, and mounts in a single 2-5/8 in. panel hole.

Overview

The Minihelic II is Dwyer's most compact dial differential pressure gage. This model reads 0 to 0.5 in w.c. on a 2-1/16 in. (52.39 mm) diameter dial face and is rated for 30 psig (2.067 bar) continuous total pressure to either connection, with a 50 psig (3.445 bar) surge rating. Housing is mineral- and glass-filled nylon with a polycarbonate lens.

Dwyer specifies +/-5% of full scale at 70 F (21.1 C), which the manufacturer describes as enough accuracy for all but the most demanding applications.

How it is built

• Silicone rubber diaphragm Responds accurately across a broad temperature span and at very low pressure. An integral blow-out area provides overpressure protection.
• Ceramic magnet drive Rotates the helix with no direct mechanical linkage between the diaphragm and the pointer.
• Jewel bearings The helix turns in jewel bearings for virtually friction-free motion.
• Aluminum support plates Plates on each side of the diaphragm minimize position sensitivity and define the pressure area.
• Removable lens and rear housing The gage can be serviced without removing it from the panel.
• Concealed zero adjustment The zero screw sits behind the removable lens, which discourages tampering.

A cutaway callout on the catalog page describes it as acrylic. We publish polycarbonate on the weight of the four specification sources.

Note on dimensions: no overall case dimension is published on this page. The datasheet drawing and the instruction manual dimension the gage differently, and DwyerOmega describes the 3-1/16 in. (77.79 mm) figure as overall height including the mounting flange rather than a case diameter. The 2-1/16 in.
