The Dwyer 2-5000-0 is a Series 2-5000 Minihelic II differential pressure gage with a 0 to 0.5 in w.c. range and barbed connections for 3/16 in. ID tubing. It is a dial-type gage for air and compatible non-corrosive gases, accurate to +/-5% of full scale, rated for 30 psig continuous total pressure, and mounts in a single 2-5/8 in. panel hole.
Overview
The Minihelic II is Dwyer's most compact dial differential pressure gage. This model reads 0 to 0.5 in w.c. on a 2-1/16 in. (52.39 mm) diameter dial face and is rated for 30 psig (2.067 bar) continuous total pressure to either connection, with a 50 psig (3.445 bar) surge rating. Housing is mineral- and glass-filled nylon with a polycarbonate lens.
Dwyer specifies +/-5% of full scale at 70 F (21.1 C), which the manufacturer describes as enough accuracy for all but the most demanding applications.

Caution: for use only with air or compatible non-corrosive gases.
Orientation: this range is below 5 in w.c. (1.24 kPa). Dwyer specifies that gages in these ranges be used in the vertical position only, unless special calibration was requested at time of order.

How it is built
- Silicone rubber diaphragm Responds accurately across a broad temperature span and at very low pressure. An integral blow-out area provides overpressure protection.
- Ceramic magnet drive Rotates the helix with no direct mechanical linkage between the diaphragm and the pointer.
- Jewel bearings The helix turns in jewel bearings for virtually friction-free motion.
- Aluminum support plates Plates on each side of the diaphragm minimize position sensitivity and define the pressure area.
- Removable lens and rear housing The gage can be serviced without removing it from the panel.
- Concealed zero adjustment The zero screw sits behind the removable lens, which discourages tampering.
Applications
- Room positive pressure sensing
- Cabinet air-purging
- Medical respiratory equipment
- Air samplers
- Electronic air cooling systems
- Laminar flow hoods
- Local indication on filter status
- Face velocity on fume hood
- Duct pressures
Frequently asked questions
What is the pressure range of the Dwyer 2-5000-0?
The 2-5000-0 is scaled 0 to 0.5 in w.c. The dial is printed in inches of water column only; 124.54 Pa is a unit conversion calculated by ZOT Supply for reference, not a second scale on the face and not a Dwyer specification.
Does the 2-5000-0 have barbed or NPT connections?
This model ships with barbed connections for 3/16 in. ID tubing. For 1/8 in. male NPT, order the 2-5000-0-NPT variant.
How accurate is the Minihelic II gage?
Accuracy is +/-5% of full scale at 70 F (21.1 C). Dwyer describes this as enough accuracy for all but the most demanding applications.
What comes in the box?
Each gage ships with two 4-40 x 1-5/8 in. mounting studs, two 4-40 hex nuts, one .050 in. hex Allen wrench, and one panel mounting bracket.
What is the maximum pressure the gage can take?
The gage withstands 30 psig (2.067 bar) continuous to either pressure connection, with a 50 psig (3.445 bar) surge rating. A blow-out membrane molded into the diaphragm accommodates overpressure, and accidental over-ranging up to the rated total pressure will not damage the gage.
Can the 2-5000-0 be used with gases other than air?
Only air and compatible non-corrosive gases. Wetted materials are not published; Dwyer directs users to consult the factory for specific media.
Does it need to be mounted in a particular orientation?
Yes. The gage is calibrated and zeroed vertically at the factory and must be re-zeroed if mounted in any other position. It fits a single 2-5/8 in. (67 mm) panel hole in panels up to 1/2 in. (13 mm) thick.

Note on lens material: the datasheet, the instruction manual, the catalog specification table, and the current DwyerOmega product page all state a polycarbonate lens. A cutaway callout on the catalog page describes it as acrylic. We publish polycarbonate on the weight of the four specification sources.
Note on dimensions: no overall case dimension is published on this page. The datasheet drawing and the instruction manual dimension the gage differently, and DwyerOmega describes the 3-1/16 in. (77.79 mm) figure as overall height including the mounting flange rather than a case diameter. The 2-1/16 in. (52.39 mm) figure in the specifications is the dial face diameter, a separate measurement, confirmed on the DwyerOmega Series 2-5000 product page and in Dwyer catalog page 26.
Specifications on this page are drawn from Dwyer datasheet DS-2-5000 Rev. 1 (11/19), Bulletin A-36 instruction manual FR# 440434-00 Rev. 5 (10/20), the Dwyer full-line catalog Series 2-5000 pages, and the DwyerOmega Series 2-5000 product page. Where these sources differ, the discrepancy is disclosed on this page and the most specific current authoritative specification is published; recency alone does not decide it. Unit conversions shown for reference are calculated by ZOT Supply and are not Dwyer specifications. Warranty: one year, per the DwyerOmega Warranty and Disclaimer statement. DwyerOmega states the period as one year from delivery to the buyer on its Warranty page and as twelve months from shipment in its Terms and Conditions of Sale; the duration is one year either way. That statement applies unless a product-specific period is supplied with the product, and none appears in the Series 2-5000 documentation.
