The Dwyer IF2707 is a Series IF industrial direct reading variable area flowmeter rated to 5 GPM (18 LPM) of water and 21.5 SCFM of air on a dual GPM and SCFM scale that reads flow directly, with no correlation charts. It installs vertically through 1 in. female NPT connections.

Best For

  • Gas or liquid metering up to 5 GPM water or 21.5 SCFM air
  • Industrial pneumatic or hydraulic systems
  • Lines with 1 in. female NPT connections
  • Process conditions up to 200 psi (13.8 bar) and 200°F (93°C)

Warranty

1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship to the original user from the date of shipment.

Key Features

Dual GPM and SCFM Direct-Reading Scale

Reads water flow to 5 GPM and air flow to 21.5 SCFM directly, saving time with no correlation charts.

Polycarbonate Front Shield

A detachable, clear 3/16 in. thick polycarbonate front shield protects the flowtube at maximum rated temperature and pressure, with 304 stainless steel side panels.

316 Stainless Steel Wetted Parts

Borosilicate glass flowtube with 316 SS float, guide rods, float stops and end fittings, sealed by fluoroelastomer O-rings.

±3% Full-Scale Accuracy

±3% of full scale accuracy with ±0.5% of full scale repeatability and a 10:1 turn-down ratio.

Industrial Pressure Rating

Rated to 200 psi (13.8 bar) and 200°F (93°C) for industrial service.

NIST Calibration Available

Order with a NIST traceable calibration certificate: NISTCAL-FL1 for air flowmeters or NISTCAL-FL2 for water flowmeters.

Authorized Distributor

ZOT Supply is an authorized distributor of Dwyer products.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum flow rate of the Dwyer IF2707?

The IF2707 reads water flow up to 5 GPM (18 LPM) and air flow up to 21.5 SCFM full scale.

What pipe connection size does the Dwyer IF2707 use?

The IF2707 has 1 in. female NPT inlet and outlet connections on a tube size 3 body. Seal the threaded pipe connections with PTFE tape only.

What pressure and temperature is the Dwyer IF2707 rated for?

The IF2707 is rated to 200 psi (13.8 bar) and 200°F (93°C).

Can the Dwyer IF2707 measure both air and water?

Yes. The IF2707 has a dual GPM and SCFM direct-reading scale, covering water to 5 GPM and air to 21.5 SCFM.

How is the Dwyer IF2707 installed?

Mount the IF2707 vertically with the inlet flow connected at the bottom port. Use properly aligned piping, avoid stress from unsupported pipe weight, and fasten the meter housing to a bulkhead, panel or stanchion. Open the inlet throttling valve gradually to avoid pressure surges on the glass flowtube.

What valves does the Dwyer IF2707 need for gas service?

Install valves at both the inlet and outlet, within 1-1/2 pipe diameters of each port. The outlet valve sets backpressure to prevent float bounce. Start with both valves closed, open the inlet valve about 1/4 turn and the outlet valve a full turn, then open both slowly to the desired flow.

How do I correct the Dwyer IF2707 reading at pressures above atmospheric?

The IF2707 is calibrated at 14.7 psia (0 psig). For gas service at higher pressure, actual flow equals K times indicated flow, where K = ((14.7 + gauge pressure) / 14.7) to the power of -1/2. Discretely calibrated meters are also available on request.

What fluids should not be used with the Dwyer IF2707?

Do not use the IF2707 with strong or hot alkalis, fluorine, hydrofluoric acid or steam, or for air or water service above 200°F (93°C). Confirm that the process fluid is compatible with the borosilicate glass, 316 SS and fluoroelastomer wetted materials.

Is NIST traceable calibration available for the Dwyer IF2707?

Yes. Order a NIST traceable calibration certificate: NISTCAL-FL1 for air flowmeters or NISTCAL-FL2 for water flowmeters.
