The Dwyer WMT2-B-C-08-1 is a 15 mm brass multi-jet water meter with pulsed output. It mechanically totalizes water usage in cubic meters on a sealed dry dial and, in parallel, closes an internal reed switch once for every 1 liter that passes through it, giving a pulse frequency proportional to flow rate.
The multi-jet measuring element distributes flow around the impeller through several tangential ports, which keeps registration accurate across a wide turndown and holds resolution down into low-flow conditions. The register is magnetically driven and hermetically sealed, so it is completely separated from the water and will not leak or fog. Couplings are 1/2 in. BSPT, and the meter ships with the coupling adapters needed to drop it into the line.
Rated to 3 m³/h maximum flow with a nominal (±2%) range of 0.12 to 1.5 m³/h and a transitional flow of 0.03 m³/h, the WMT2-B-C-08-1 carries a brass body good for 232 psi (16 bar) at up to 104°F (40°C). The pulse output is a dry contact closure rated 0.01 A @ 24 VAC/DC; it requires no supply power and lands directly on a BAS, data logger, or submetering panel pulse input.
Compliance and Safety
Not for potable water use. The brass body contains lead in excess of low-lead limits. Use on non-potable service only, such as irrigation, cooling, filtration, and process or make-up water.
California Proposition 65 WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
RoHS 2015/863 compliant. Media compatibility: clean process or cooling water. Service is water only, within the published temperature and pressure limits.
Best For
- Irrigation system water use and zone-level accounting (non-potable service)
- Cooling systems and condenser or chilled water make-up totalizing
- Filtration systems and backwash volume tracking
- General water monitoring, tenant submetering, and BAS pulse totalization
Warranty and Service
Coverage follows the Dwyer Terms and Conditions of Sale published in the Dwyer catalog and on the manufacturer website. The Series WMT2 is not field serviceable; field repair should not be attempted and may void warranty. If service is required, contact ZOT Supply for a Return Goods Authorization number before shipping the meter back, and include a short description of the problem plus any application notes.
Routine maintenance is limited to periodic inspection and cleaning the integral strainer yearly, or more often depending on water condition. Pull the strainer or back flush the meter to loosen trapped particulates. A loss in pressure with a corresponding drop in flow rate usually indicates a clogged meter screen.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the pulse rate of the Dwyer WMT2-B-C-08-1?
The WMT2-B-C-08-1 outputs 1 liter per pulse. The pulse is a dry contact closure from an internal reed switch, and the pulse frequency is proportional to flow rate.
Does the WMT2-B-C-08-1 pulse output need external power?
No. The output is a dry contact closure and does not require power. The contact is rated 0.01 A @ 24 VAC/DC and the meter ships with color-coded lead wires, 4.5 ft (1.5 m) long.
What is the flow range of the Dwyer WMT2-B-C-08-1?
Maximum flow is 3 m³/h, the nominal flow range is 0.12 to 1.5 m³/h, and transitional flow is 0.03 m³/h. Accuracy is nominal flow ±2%; transitional flow ±5%.
How must the WMT2-B-C-08-1 be installed?
The meter must be installed horizontally with the register face pointing up. Any other orientation can cause leakage and meter damage. Flush the upstream service line first, observe the flow arrows on the meter body, do not over-tighten the connections, and do not use pipe sealant tape on the meter threads.
Does the WMT2-B-C-08-1 include an inlet filter?
Yes. This model includes the integral inlet strainer. Clean it yearly, or more often depending on water condition, by pulling the strainer or back flushing the meter.
Can the Dwyer WMT2-B-C-08-1 be used on drinking water?
No. The WMT2-B-C-08-1 is not for potable water use because the brass body contains lead in excess of low-lead limits. Use it on non-potable service such as irrigation, cooling, filtration, and process or make-up water.
What are the pressure and temperature limits?
The pressure limit is 232 psi (16 bar) and the temperature limit is 104°F (40°C). Service is water only.
