The Miljoco ED20465702-96 is a remote reading LED digital thermometer in a 2 in. flush mount U-clamp case. It reads 50 to 250°F, convertible once to 10 to 120°C at 1°F resolution on a 0.56 in. red LED display, updates every 4 seconds, and runs on 12 VAC or 12 VDC.
Overview
The ED2046 was designed to replace a 2 in. dial thermometer in the panel cut-out it already occupies, so it is commonly specified on hot food cabinets and refrigerated cases. The display is oversized for long distance reading, and a recalibration screw at the back of the case allows the unit to be trimmed in service.
Typical Applications
- Hot food holding cabinets
- Refrigerated cases and cabinets
- 2 in. dial thermometer retrofits
- Food service equipment OEM
Warranty
Miljoco-Weiss warrants this product to be free from material defects in material and workmanship for 12 months from date of shipment, per the published Miljoco-Weiss terms and conditions of sale. No product-specific warranty period is published in the documentation for this model, so the standard term applies.
Key Features
Extra large, brightly lit display
A 0.56 in. high intensity red LED reads clearly from the far end of a kitchen or a cold room.
Drops into an existing 2 in. dial cut-out
The U-clamp case was sized for the panel cut-out left by a 2 in. dial thermometer, so an existing panel opening can be reused without cutting sheet metal.
Hot food and refrigeration
The same instrument is used on heated holding cabinets and on refrigerated cases.
Field recalibration
An adjusting screw at the rear of the case trims the reading against an ice bath without pulling the instrument.
Field convertible to °C, once
Range code 57 ships set to Fahrenheit and displays one scale at a time. A single permanent cut of the scale wire converts it to Celsius. The change cannot be reversed, so specify the scale the site will keep.
Runs on 12 VAC or 12 VDC
Where a 12 volt supply already exists the instrument wires straight in. Otherwise add the 161-115 transformer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this part number include a transformer?
No. The instrument runs on 12 VAC or 12 VDC. The 161-115 transformer, 115 VAC to 12 VAC, is sold separately.
How do I switch it to Celsius?
Range code 57 ships from the factory reading Fahrenheit. A one-time cut wire converts it to Celsius. The change cannot be reversed.
What size panel cut-out does it need?
0.875 in. high by 1.75 in. wide for the lens to pass through, with two mounting holes 0.140 in. dia. on 1.625 in. centers. It also fits an existing 2 in. dial cut-out with the U-clamp bracket.
Can the sensor lead be extended?
Yes, by up to 20 additional feet. Cut the lead in the middle and splice two-conductor 22 gauge wire. Check calibration after extending. Factory leads are available up to 1000 feet.
How many instruments can share one transformer?
Normally one per transformer. Two is the maximum. Wire the transformer black and white leads to the primary supply; wiring it backwards destroys both the transformer and the instrument.
