The Omega DP400S is a 1/8 DIN strain-gauge indicator with a graphic OLED 2.42 in display, accepting load-cell, melt-sensor or potentiometer input. It ships with 2 relays, an isolated analog output and RS-485 Modbus-RTU, plus RFID/NFC and a multilingual interface, on a universal 24 to 230 Vac/Vdc supply.
Specifications per the OMEGA DP400S User’s Guide (M5726).
Overview
The OMEGA DP400S is an indicator/panel meter for acquisition and retransmission of process values, including fast transients. A graphic OLED display drives an intuitive multilingual interface with bar-graph and trend visualization, while software functions add a totalizer and sum. It accepts strain-gauge load cells (max 7.5 mV/V), melt-pressure sensors or potentiometers, and offers relay outputs for alarms, an analog output for retransmission and programmable digital inputs. Serial connectivity uses RS-485 with the Modbus-RTU protocol, and an onboard RFID/NFC interface speeds configuration.
Best for
- Load-cell, melt-sensor and potentiometer indication on a 1/8 DIN front
- Process weighing with net/gross, tare, totalizer and sum functions
- Alarm and on/off control via two configurable relay outputs
- Retransmitting process or setpoint values over an isolated analog output
- Reporting to a PLC or SCADA over RS-485 Modbus-RTU

Frequently Asked Questions
What input does the Omega DP400S accept?
A differential, software-configurable input for strain-gauge load cells or melt sensors up to 7.5 mV/V (up to 4 cells at 350 ohm in parallel, 5 V supply), or potentiometers from 200 ohm.
What outputs does it have?
Two relays rated 2 A at 250 Vac (resistive), one analog output configurable as 0/20 or 4/20 mA (16-bit), two programmable digital inputs, and RS-485 with Modbus-RTU.
How accurate is the DP400S?
Input tolerance is +/-0.2% +/-1 digit of full scale at 25 C, with an input impedance greater than 1 Mohm and 16-bit analog-output resolution.
What display does it use?
A backlit graphic OLED, 2.42 in, 128 x 64 px monochrome yellow, with a multilingual interface plus bar-graph and process-trend views.
What power supply does it need?
A universal 24 to 230 Vac/Vdc +/-15% supply at 50/60 Hz, consuming about 8 VA, so it suits both AC and DC panels worldwide.
