The ACI Relative Humidity Remote Probe is a device used for measuring relative humidity in remote sensing applications. It is designed with a thermoset polymer capacitive sensing element, which detects changes in humidity levels and provides a proportional analog output signal.
The remote probe is equipped with a hydrophobic filter, which helps repel water and protect the sensing element from moisture. This filter ensures reliable performance even in environments with high humidity or mildly corrosive atmospheres.
The remote probe wiring harness is available in lengths of 3, 6, 10, or 20 feet, allowing for flexible mounting options in various applications.
Field calibration can be performed on the humidity transmitter using the increment and decrement DIP switches. Each toggle of these switches allows for a ±0.5% RH increase or decrease in calibration.
For models with current or voltage output, calibration of the electronics can be done using both the Zero and Span potentiometers. These adjustments help ensure accurate readings based on the specific output requirements.
To protect the sensing element from direct moisture spray in wash-down applications, a vinyl cap is provided to be placed over the sintered filter. This additional protection helps maintain the performance and longevity of the sensor.
