The 22UTH-510X Outdoor Sensor with Weather and Radiated Heat Shield is a highly efficient and precise active humidity and temperature sensor designed for outdoor applications. Its innovative radiation shield protects the sensor from rain and radiated heat, ensuring accurate readings even in challenging outdoor environments. The curved shape and color of the plates enable airflow across the sensors, preventing radiated temperatures from rooftops and surrounding surfaces from influencing humidity measurements.
Encased in a durable 4X / IP65 rated housing, the 22UTH-510X is built to withstand harsh weather conditions, making it ideal for outdoor installations. The sensor employs a polymer capacitive sensor with stainless steel wire mesh, ensuring reliable and consistent measurements. Users have the option to select either humidity, enthalpy, or dew point as the output signal, transmitted as an active voltage signal of 0...5 V or 0...10 V. With four measuring ranges for humidity and temperature, the sensor offers versatility and adaptability for various outdoor environments. The accuracy of the sensor is exceptional, with humidity accuracy at ±2% between 0...80% RH at 77°F and temperature accuracy at ±0.3°C at 25°C.
Powered by either AC or DC voltage, the sensor consumes 0.8 VA for AC and 0.4 W for DC, providing flexibility in power source selection. Installation is straightforward with pluggable spring-loaded terminal blocks and a cable gland with strain relief. The 22UTH-510X must be used within its specified field of application, and unauthorized modifications are strictly prohibited to ensure safe and reliable operation.
