The Caleffi 201000 is a self-powered thermostatic control head with a remote liquid-filled sensor on a 78 in (2 m) capillary, adjustable from 45 to 82°F (7 to 28°C). The sensor is mounted away from the valve so it reads representative room air, while the head stays on the valve body.

Best for radiators where the valve is enclosed, recessed, behind a cover or close to the floor, and the air at the valve would misread the room.

Self-Powered Operation

A liquid-filled element expands as the sensed temperature rises and throttles the valve closed. No wiring, transformer or controller is required.

Remote Sensor on 78 in Capillary

The sensing element separates from the head on a 2 m capillary, so it can be placed where air is representative of the room while the valve stays where the pipework dictates.

45 to 82°F Graduated Scale

Dial marked * through 5, spanning 45 to 82°F (7 to 28°C), so each room can be balanced to its own setpoint. Refer to the scale printed on the head for the intermediate positions.

Frost Protection

The * position holds the room at a 45°F (7°C) cut-in, protecting an unoccupied space over winter without leaving the valve fully open.

Restriction and Locking

The graduated dial can be range-restricted or locked at a commissioned setpoint using a screwdriver on the collar, and reset later without tools beyond the same screwdriver.

EN 215 Certified

Combined with the 220 and 221 series valve bodies the assembly is certified to UNI EN 215 and carries KEYMARK. Thermostatic Efficiency Label (TELL) Class I.

What does the Caleffi 201000 do?

It is a self-powered thermostatic control head with a remote sensor. A liquid-filled element at the end of a 78 in capillary expands as the room warms and throttles the radiator valve, holding the room at the dial setting without wiring, power or a controller.

When should the remote sensor version be used instead of the 200000?

Use it where the valve sits behind a cover, inside a cabinet, in an alcove or close to the floor. In those positions the air at the valve is not representative of the room, so a built-in sensor would control to the wrong temperature.

How far can the sensor be mounted from the valve?

Up to 78 in (2 m), the supplied capillary length. The capillary should not be shortened or kinked.

Does the Caleffi 201000 work on its own?

No. The head threads onto a Caleffi thermostatic or convertible radiator valve body, ordered separately.
