PS3HD-R-D-N-D — PowerScout 3 HD Networked 3-Phase Power Submeter
The Dent Instruments PS3HD-R-D-N-D is the PowerScout™ 3 HD, DENT's networked three-channel, three-phase submeter. The PS3HD-R-D-N-D measures voltage, current, power, energy, and many other electrical parameters on single- or three-phase systems, and can monitor a single three-phase load or network with other PowerScout HD meters to cover multiple loads across a facility.
Looking ahead? The PowerScout FLEX 3 is DENT's next-generation replacement for the PowerScout HD — faster commissioning with FLEXPoint™, browser-based FLEXPoint™ GO, flexible Virtual Meters, and 7.2 kHz sampling.
See the PowerScout FLEX 3 →The PS3HD-R-D-N-D delivers revenue-grade performance with continuous 1.8 kHz sampling (no blind cycles), a 1-second update rate, and ANSI C12.20-2015 Class 0.2 accuracy (depending on CT). It supports both Modbus (SunSpec IEEE-754) and BACnet over RS-485 serial or Ethernet, and is line-powered (90-600 VAC) with a USB-C connector for convenient configuration. DENT's patented PhaseChek™ circuitry (U.S. Patent 7,612,552) confirms correct CT orientation, and the PS3HD-R-D-N-D records up to 63 days of 15-minute interval kWh data to a capacitor-backed real-time clock.
This model is DENTCloud™ enabled: connect the PS3HD-R-D-N-D to the internet and add it to your account on the subscription-free DENTCloud™ platform for real-time data visualization through customizable widgets and dashboards, with private API access and no data storage limits.
Configured through ViewPoint HD PC software or a web browser, the PS3HD-R-D-N-D is delivered in the DIN Rail Mount Enclosure (compact DIN rail enclosure that drops into the external enclosure of your choice) and operates as an endpoint reporting to a building management system, RTU, data acquisition device, or DENTCloud™ host.

Interval Data Recording + RTC
The PS3HD-R-D-N-D stores up to 63 days of 15-minute kWh data in non-volatile memory and keeps an accurate timestamp with a capacitor-backed real-time clock (about one week of carryover, no battery to replace) to backfill data after a communication loss.
ViewPoint HD Setup
Configure the PS3HD-R-D-N-D from ViewPoint HD or a web browser, scan the network to find and name every PowerScout HD meter, and pre-build configuration templates — even without the meter on hand — for fast, repeatable deployment.
Universal CT Compatibility
Use the PS3HD-R-D-N-D with DENT 333 mV Split Core or RōCoil™ (Rogowski) CTs, including revenue-grade options, measuring up to 4000+ A depending on the CT selected.
