Dent Instruments PS3HD-R-D-N : PowerScout 3 HD Power Submeter, Single Point, Three-Phase Meter, Din Rail Mount Enclosure
The Dent Instruments PS3HD-R-D-N, known as the PowerScout 3 HD Power Submeter, is a versatile three-phase meter designed for tenant submetering, bi-directional metering for renewable energy sources like solar or wind, and real-time power monitoring in commercial, retail, and industrial settings. It's particularly suitable for monitoring building mains.
This new model offers enhanced measurement performance by supporting both Modbus and BACnet communication protocols, with options for serial RS-485 or Ethernet connectivity. It can be used with Dent's split-core or RōCoil CTs, providing precise measurements for a single three-phase load or multiple loads across a facility when networked with other PowerScout HD meters.
The PowerScout 3 HD ensures revenue-grade performance with high-speed continuous sampling, a 1 Hz data update rate, and ANSI C12.20-2015 Class 0.2 revenue-grade accuracy (depending on the CT used). This makes it well-suited for accountability metering, demand response, and tenant submetering in commercial and industrial facilities. It can be powered through a wide-range internal supply or via USB, making it convenient for configuration.
Setting up the PS3HD-R-D-N is straightforward, offering two interfaces for configuration: the ViewPoint HD PC Application or a web browser. The meter also features DENT's patented PhaseChek™ circuitry for troubleshooting, enabling advanced analytics like waveform visualization, vector polar plotting, and harmonic distortion analysis when used in conjunction with ViewPoint HD.
The PowerScout Series meters are not meant to be standalone energy recorders. They are designed to connect as a slave device to a data logger, Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), or building management host network.
