The Dwyer WD3-LP-D2-30 Series WD3 Water Leak Detector protects critical equipment from costly water damage by sensing standing water before it spreads. It is externally powered from 24 VAC or 11–27 VDC and uses a dependable DPDT relay output for remote indication or control. Visual LED indication and relay output provide silent, remote-friendly alerting.

How does the Dwyer WD3-LP-D2-30 detect water?
Water is detected the instant it rises high enough to bridge the two conductive strips on the underside of the housing. The minimum sensing gap is adjustable down to 1/32″ using the included bracket.
What does the DPDT relay connect to?
The dry-contact DPDT relay (1 A @ 24 VAC/DC) wires into a building automation system, alarm panel, or a water shut-off valve for remote indication and automatic response. On detection the contact closes; it returns to normal once the water evaporates.
What powers this model?
It is line-powered from 24 VAC ±10% or 11–27 VDC and draws 30 mA steady / 85 mA in alarm. A green LED confirms power and a red LED indicates water.
Does this model have a buzzer?
No — this is a non-audible model. It signals via the red LED and the relay output. If you need a local buzzer, choose the WD3-LP-D2-A or the battery WD3-BP-D1-A audible models.
Can it be submerged?
Yes. Non-audible WD3 models carry a NEMA 6P (IP68) submersible rating. Audible models are water-tight up to 3/4 of the body height.
What cable length ships with this part?
This SKU is prewired with a 30 ft UL plenum-rated cable instead of the standard 4.9 ft (1.5 m) lead. Need the standard length? See the WD3-LP-D2.
How does it mount?
The included adjustable bracket attaches to any flat surface with the factory adhesive strips or two #6 or #8 screws. Sensing height sets anywhere from 1/32″ to 17/32″. A spare bracket is the A-WD3-BRK.
