The Senva PW30M-009-250 is a wet-to-wet differential pressure transmitter using dual remote PWT sensors at the high and low ports - one of the few wet/wet differential transmitters on the market that eliminates the traditional bypass-plumbing requirement by sensing differential digitally across two independently-mounted absolute sensors. The transmitter is housed in a Powder-Coated Steel (Metal), NEMA 3R / IP65 enclosure with 9-Foot Pre-Wired Standard Cable (DIN43650 plug-and-play). Sensors connect to the transmitter via DIN43650 quick-disconnect - no wire twisting, no plumbing.
The PW30 outputs the standard PW30 selectable output: 2-wire 4-20 mA loop, 3-wire 0-5 VDC, or 3-wire 0-10 VDC (one DIP switch on the main board picks the mode). The on-board LCD shows the high port pressure, low port pressure, and computed differential pressure simultaneously - a meaningful step up from single-output diff-pressure transmitters where you can't see the absolute readings the BAS depends on. This SKU ships with one PWT250 remote sensor factory-installed - a 250 PSIG-rated micro-machined silicon strain gauge in a 316L stainless steel housing with 1/4 inch MNPT process connection. Configuring the transmitter against this sensor delivers 1% accuracy on the 0-75, 0-100, 0-125, 0-150, 0-250 PSID ranges and 2% accuracy on the 0-30, 0-40, 0-50 PSID ranges (per Senva's PW Transmitter Accuracy table). Made in USA by Senva Inc. of Beaverton, Oregon.
Fast pre-fabricated installs - this SKU arrives with a 9-foot standard cable factory-terminated to the sensor at one end and ready-to-land flying leads at the other. Saves significant labor on a wet/wet differential installation versus the traditional bypass-plumbing approach.
Key Features
One transmitter spans 1 PSID up to 500 PSID via DIP-switch range selection with the matching PWT sensor PSIG. Reduces SKU count on stocking shelves and lets controls engineers commission unknown-pressure loops without re-ordering a different transmitter mid-job.
Single DIP switch picks the output mode: 2-wire 4-20 mA loop-powered (15-30 VDC, 250 Ohm max), 3-wire 0-5 VDC (12-30 VDC or 24 VAC), or 3-wire 0-10 VDC (13-30 VDC or 24 VAC). 20 mA max. consumption.
Built-in LCD shows the high-port pressure, low-port pressure, and computed differential pressure simultaneously - meaningful upgrade over single-output diff-pressure transmitters that hide the absolute readings from the field tech.
Powder-coated steel housing rated NEMA 3R / IP65 - outdoor-rated, drip-proof, dust-tight, and resistant to limited water spray. Suited to mechanical rooms, rooftop pump rooms, and exterior pipe galleries.
Factory-terminated 9-foot standard cable runs from the transmitter to a DIN43650 connector at the sensor end. Plug-and-play - no field wire-twisting, no signal-loss from poor crimps. Standard PVC jacket sized for typical indoor plant routing.
One PWT250 316L SS diaphragm sensor ships pre-wired to the transmitter via the DIN43650 connector. Mounts directly to the process pipe via 1/4 inch MNPT - no plumbing tee or bypass required. Add a second PWT for full differential measurement, or use this single sensor for absolute monitoring against a fixed reference port.
Each PWT sensor uses a micro-machined silicon strain-gauge transducer behind a 316L stainless steel diaphragm. Long-term stability: +/-0.25% FS per year. Pressure cycles: >100 million. Over-range protection: 200% rated pressure.
On-board DIP switches handle: range selection (16 differentials), uni/bi-directional mode, slow or fast response filtering, port swap (corrects field-wiring mistakes without re-plumbing), absolute mode, and test-mode output forcing for BAS commissioning.
Pushbutton zero re-zeros the transmitter in 5 seconds. Hold for 10 seconds to restore factory settings. Remote-zero terminal block input allows BAS-initiated re-zero on a schedule.
Integrated surge snubber protects the sensor from water-hammer transients - common cause of premature diff-pressure-sensor failure on pump-cycling loops. Adds significant service life on hydronic systems with variable-speed pumps.
Designed and manufactured by Senva Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon. RoHS and CE compliant. 7-year warranty on transmitter electronics, 2-year on the replaceable PWT sensor element.

16 selectable differential ranges from 1 PSID to 500 PSID, set via on-board DIP switches. The actual accuracy class (1% or 2%) depends on the PWT sensor PSIG rating selected for the install - see the PW Transmitter Accuracy table on the datasheet for the exact range/accuracy mapping per sensor.
No - that's the entire design intent of the PW30 series. Two remote PWT sensors mount directly to the high and low ports of the process pipe via 1/4 inch MNPT, and the transmitter computes differential pressure digitally. No bypass tee, no isolation valves required (manifold versions are still available for legacy process conventions).
One DIP switch on the transmitter board picks between 2-wire 4-20 mA loop, 3-wire 0-5 VDC, or 3-wire 0-10 VDC. Voltage modes accept 12-30 VDC or 24 VAC supply (13-30 VDC required for 10V FS). Current mode is loop-powered with 15-30 VDC at 0 Ohm load, up to 18-30 VDC at 500 Ohm.
PW30M uses a powder-coated steel enclosure rated NEMA 3R / IP65 - outdoor and drip-proof. PW30W uses PC/ABS plastic rated NEMA 4X / IP65 - washdown-rated and corrosion-resistant for chlorinated / chemical environments like cooling-tower decks. Identical internals and identical specs otherwise.
The 250 PSIG sensor is suited to working pressures up to 250 PSID and delivers 1% accuracy on its primary working range. Senva does not recommend using output spans below 10% of total sensor PSIG for accuracy reasons - if your working pressure is well below this sensor's range, consider a lower-PSIG PWT instead.
Yes - configure the transmitter in absolute mode and use a single PWT sensor on the high port. The LCD will show the absolute pressure on the active port and zero on the unused port; the differential reading equals the absolute reading. Useful when an existing 4-20 mA pressure input on the BAS needs a more accurate replacement sensor with no other infrastructure changes.
7 years on the transmitter electronics. 2 years on the replaceable PWT sensor element. The split warranty reflects the design philosophy - electronics never wear, but the sensor diaphragm sees full process exposure and is the field-replaceable component.
