Specifications on this page are taken from the Prolon Rooftop Controller datasheet, REV 7.3.0 / PL-DATA-C1050RTU-C/F-EN.
The PL-C1050-RTU handles the full sequence on a packaged rooftop unit or air treatment unit. PI control loops replace the on/off swings you get from a thermostat, and every sequence is set in software rather than by jumpers, so one part number covers a wide range of unit configurations.
It drives up to two stages of heating and four stages of cooling, or full modulation through the analog output. Preheat, morning warm-up and cooling priority are built in, along with protection limits and minimum-run delays you can set per job.
On a Prolon network the RTU acts as the master controller. It publishes supply temperature and occupancy to the zone controllers below it and reads their weighted demand back through FlexiZone grouping.
Best For
- Rooftop units and HVAC air treatment equipment
- Systems with up to 2 heating stages and 4 cooling stages, or full modulation
- Multi-zone networks where the rooftop acts as master over Prolon zone controllers
Key Features
Master controller on a Prolon network
Acts as the master when connected to a Prolon network, sharing supply temperature and occupancy with downstream zone controllers.
Two heating and four cooling stages
Controls up to 2 stages of heating and 4 stages of cooling, or full modulation, from a single configurable sequence.
FlexiZone weighted demand
Manages multiple zones by evaluating the average weighted demand of the zones using customized groups.
PI control loops
Proportional-integral loops hold setpoint tighter than staged on/off control and reduce short cycling.
Networked dehumidification
Dehumidification sequences become available when the RTU is networked with a Prolon humidity controller.
Protected outputs
All 4 digital outputs and the analog output are protected by resettable fuses.
