The AimSafety PM150-CO2 is a rechargeable single-gas personal monitor that measures carbon dioxide (CO2) from 0 to 50,000 ppm (0 to 5 % by volume) with a nondispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor and low, high, STEL and TWA alarms.

Specifications on this page are taken from the PM150-CO2 Data Sheet (Macurco, 1/2026), PM150-CO2 User Manual Rev. 1.0 and the AimSafety line card.

Best For

Carbon dioxide exposure monitoring in breweries and wineries, food processing, cannabis production, water and wastewater treatment, dry ice storage, laboratories, manufacturing, refrigeration and indoor air quality work.

Warranty

Two year limited warranty. AimSafety warrants the product free from defective materials and workmanship for a period of two years, provided it is maintained and used in accordance with AimSafety instructions and recommendations.

Key Features

NDIR sensor with roughly seven-year lifeThe nondispersive infrared element carries an expected sensor life of about seven years, far longer than the electrochemical cells used for toxic gases.
Selectable ppm or percent-by-volume displayThe measuring range is configurable as 0 to 50,000 ppm or as 0 to 5 % by volume, with a published resolution of 100 ppm.
Four alarm thresholds including STEL and TWADefaults are 5,000 ppm low, 10,000 ppm high, 30,000 ppm STEL and 5,000 ppm TWA, all user selectable through the PC software.
Rechargeable with USB Type-C chargingThe 500 mAh lithium-ion polymer pack charges from empty in about 100 minutes with the unit powered off, using the supplied USB Type-C cable and adaptor.
Roughly 64,000 data logs at one-minute intervalsData is stored every minute to approximately 64,000 records, alongside the 30 most recent events.
IP66 / IP67 rubber-enclosed housingThe rubber enclosure carries an IP66 and IP67 protection rating and operates from -4 to 122 °F (-20 to 50 °C).

Frequently Asked Questions

What range does the AimSafety PM150-CO2 measure?

It measures carbon dioxide from 0 to 50,000 ppm, or from 0 to 5.0 % by volume, at a published resolution of 100 ppm. The display unit is selectable.

What are the default alarm set points on the PM150-CO2?

Low alarm 5,000 ppm (0.5 % Vol), high alarm 10,000 ppm (1.0 % Vol), STEL 30,000 ppm (3.0 % Vol) and TWA 5,000 ppm (0.5 % Vol). All four are user selectable through the PC software.

How is the PM150-CO2 charged?

Through the supplied USB Type-C cable and adaptor. A full charge from empty takes about 100 minutes with the unit powered off, and gives up to seven days of continuous runtime.

How long does the PM150-CO2 sensor last?

The NDIR sensor has an expected life of roughly seven years and the battery roughly three to five years. Both are replaceable: sensor 70-2900-0540-6 and battery 70-2900-0532-0.

Is the PM150-CO2 approved for hazardous locations?

The supplied AimSafety documentation lists EMC and RoHS compliance for the PM150-CO2. It does not list the Class I, Division 1 hazardous-location approvals published for the PM100 and PM400 series. Confirm the required area classification with Macurco before deploying it in a classified area.

Which calibration gas does the PM150-CO2 use?

Carbon dioxide at 20,000 ppm balance nitrogen in a 34L cylinder, part 37-0072-4234-1, applied through the PM100/150 calibration hood at 0.2 LPM. Nitrogen 34L, part 37-0444-4432-1, is used for zeroing.
