The AimSafety PM100-NO2 is a maintenance-free disposable single-gas personal monitor that continuously measures nitrogen dioxide (no2) over 0 to 20 ppm and operates for two years without battery or sensor replacement.

Specifications on this page are taken from the PM100 Series Data Sheet (Macurco, 1/2026), PM100 Personal Single-Gas Monitor User Manual Rev. 3.0 and the AimSafety line card.

Best For

Personal nitrogen dioxide exposure monitoring in parking garages and vehicle repair facilities, boiler rooms, welding operations, oil and gas and metal manufacturing.

Warranty

Two year limited warranty. AimSafety warrants the product free from defective materials and workmanship for a period of two years, provided it is maintained and used in accordance with AimSafety instructions and recommendations.

Key Features

Maintenance-free for two yearsThe lithium battery and electrochemical sensor are sealed for the life of the instrument. There is nothing to charge, replace or service across the two-year operating period.
30-day end-of-life warningThe monitor shows remaining sensor life in months, days or hours and raises an end-of-life warning inside the final 30 days, so a fleet can be rotated before any unit goes dark.
Visible calibration statusCalibration and bump-test due states appear on the LCD and can be enforced through configurable policy settings for end-of-life, alarm test due, bump test due and calibration due.
Three-tier alarm with differentiated high and low indicationA 90 dB buzzer at 4 in. (10 cm), vibration alarm, flashing red LEDs and on-screen indication signal the 2.5 ppm low alarm and 5 ppm high alarm with distinct audible and visual signatures.
IP67 rugged high-visibility housingThe polycarbonate and rubber housing is dust tight and water resistant to IP67 and rated for -40 to 122 °F (-40 to 50 °C) operation.
Intrinsically safe for Division 1 areasCertified to UL-913 and CSA-C22.2 No. 157 for Class I, Division 1 and 2, Groups A, B, C and D, with ATEX, IECEx and INMETRO approvals.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the AimSafety PM100-NO2 detect?

The PM100-NO2 detects Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) over a range of 0 to 20 ppm with 0.1 ppm resolution, using a diffusion-type electrochemical cell.

What are the factory alarm set points on the PM100-NO2?

The low alarm is 2.5 ppm and the high alarm is 5 ppm. Both are user selectable through the PM Link PC interface and software.

How long does the PM100-NO2 last?

The PM100 operates continuously for two years, based on two minutes of alarm per day with limited IR communication use. The lithium battery and sensor are not replaceable, and the monitor displays a warning during its final 30 days of life.

Can the PM100-NO2 be turned off?

No. Once activated the PM100 is designed to run continuously for the life of the instrument and cannot be switched off. Check the activate-by date on the box before putting a unit into service.

Is the PM100-NO2 intrinsically safe?

Yes. It is certified to UL-913 and CSA-C22.2 No. 157 for Class I, Division 1 and 2, Groups A, B, C and D, and carries ATEX II 1 G Ex ia IIC T4 Ga IP67, IECEx Ex ia IIC T4 and INMETRO approvals.

Can the PM100-NO2 be used with the PM100-STN calibration station?

No. The PM100-STN bump test and calibration station is published as compatible with the CO, H2S and O2 models only. Bump test and calibrate the PM100-NO2 using the PM Link PC interface with a calibration hood, regulator and the matching calibration gas.
