Frequently Asked Questions
  • What does DPST-N/O mean?
DPST stands for Double Pole Single Throw. Both poles are normally open (N/O), meaning both circuits are closed only when the relay is energized.
  • Can the RIB01P30 handle electronic ballasts or LED loads?
No. The relay is not rated for electronic ballasts and should not be used with LED drivers. For these applications, select a relay rated for electronic loads.
  • Are alternate contact configurations available?
Yes. To order both poles as normally closed, add “-NC” to the model number. For mixed contact operation (Pole 1 N/O, Pole 2 N/C), add “-NONC”.
Installation Tips & Mistakes to Avoid
  • Tip: Use the appropriate control lead configuration for either continuous or control-only activation, as listed in the wiring diagram.
  • Tip: Mount in a dry, indoor location to maintain NEMA 1 housing compliance.
  • Mistake to Avoid: This relay is not designed for electronic loads such as LED drivers or electronic ballasts.
