PL-PROPACK-RTU: MultiZone RTU ProPack Kit. Includes PL-M2000-RTU Rooftop Unit Controller, (2) PL-DT-T8 Duct Temperature Sensors (Supply + Return), PL-OA-T Outside Air Temp Sensor, PL-APS Fan Proof Differential Pressure Switch, PL-LPT-LCD Static Pressure Transmitter with LCD, and PL-LPT-SPT Barbed Static Pressure Tip. Includes wiring diagram and installation instructions.
The Prolon PL-PROPACK-RTU is a grab-and-go MultiZone RTU ProPack designed to streamline zoning rooftop installations. This kit bundles the M2000 RTU controller with the core sensors needed for supply, return, outside air temperature, fan proof, and duct static pressure control. It also includes wiring diagrams and step-by-step installation guidance to speed up commissioning and reduce missed parts.
Common Applications
- MultiZone RTU control for packaged rooftop units using staged heat and cooling (G, Y1, Y2, W1, W2)
- RTU supply fan control with fan proof verification (air differential pressure switch)
- Duct static pressure control for zoning systems using a VFD signal or bypass damper modulation (0-10 VDC)
- Economizer control (when enabled and configured in software)
- Contractor standardization to reduce inventory complexity and jobsite delays
Specifications:

- Instructions and wiring diagram
- Power
- 24 VAC required (transformer not included)
- Power from RTU control board R (24 VAC Hot) and C (24 VAC Common)
- Recommended Wiring
- 24 VAC supply: #18/2 AWG
- Zone controller communication bus (RS485): #22/2 AWG low capacitance, twisted and shielded
- Sensors: #18/2 AWG
- Static pressure transmitter typically requires a 3-conductor cable (#18/3 AWG): power, signal, neutral
- Sensors and Typical Inputs (Per Guide)
- Outside air temperature sensor (PL-OA-T) to Input 1
- Return air duct temperature sensor (PL-DT-T8) to Input 2
- Supply air duct temperature sensor (PL-DT-T8) to Input 3
- Fan proof differential pressure switch (PL-APS) Normally Open contact to Input 7
- Duct static pressure transmitter (PL-LPT-LCD) to Input 9. Recommended install location is about 2/3 down the main supply duct.
- Control Outputs (Typical Packaged RTU Staging)
- DO1: Fan (G) or VFD Start/Stop
- DO2 and DO3: Cooling stages (Y1, Y2)
- DO4 and DO5: Heating stages (W1, W2)
- AO2 (optional): Economizer damper actuator (0-10 VDC)
- AO3 (optional): VFD speed control or bypass damper signal (0-10 VDC)
- Sequence Notes (Quick Summary)
- Occupied mode default: supply fan runs continuously after fan proof is confirmed, then heating and cooling sequences are enabled.
- Static pressure is read from the PL-LPT-LCD. The controller can modulate a bypass damper or VFD to maintain duct static pressure (adjustable).
- Zone controllers send demand (weighted average) to drive heating and cooling stages in sequence.
- Cooling minimum ON time: 2 minutes (adjustable). Minimum OFF time: 5 minutes (adjustable).
- Heating can be disabled above 86°F (adjustable). Cooling can be disabled below -40°F (adjustable).
- Setup and Networking
- Controller addressing: each controller needs a unique address (1 to 127). Avoid 99 and 101.
- Configuration: Focus software or smartphone app with PL-485-BT Connection Tool (not included).
- Internet connectivity: requires a PL-NC2000 Network Controller (not included).
- Wireless zoning option: PL-TREE-COM adapters can be used (not included). 24 VAC power still required.
- What’s Not Included
- 24 VAC transformer
- Field wiring (power, sensors, RS485 data)
- PL-485-BT Connection Tool
