The PL-C1050-HP controls air-to-air and water-to-air heat pumps, with the mode selected in configuration rather than by part number. PI control loops manage compressor and auxiliary heat staging.
It handles up to two compressor stages plus up to two auxiliary heating stages, with economizer, preheating and emergency auxiliary heat sequences built in. All four inputs are configurable, so the same terminals can be assigned to outside, return, supply or water intake temperature, night setback, proof of fan or alarm.
On a Prolon network the HP acts as the master controller and supports FlexiZone weighted-demand grouping across the zones below it.
