The AimSafety PM100-STN is an all-in-one bump test and calibration station that tests, configures and updates firmware on up to four PM100 single-gas monitors at a time without a computer, using the infrared communication link built into the monitors.

Specifications on this page are taken from the PM100 Bump Test and Calibration Station V2 User Instructions Rev. 1.0, the PM100 Series Data Sheet and the AimSafety line card.

Best For

Fleet operators running PM100 CO, H2S or O2 monitors who need documented daily bump testing and printable calibration certificates without tying up a laptop, across oil and gas, pipeline compression, refining, water and wastewater treatment, food and beverage, metal manufacturing, pulp and paper and power generation.

Warranty

Two year limited warranty. The PM100 Bump Test and Calibration Station V2 user instructions publish a two-year warranty term for the station.

Key Features

Four monitors tested, configured and updated at onceThe station simultaneously bump tests, calibrates, applies settings and updates firmware on four PM100 monitors, which cuts both test time and gas consumption.
No computer required for normal operationThe whole station is driven by two buttons. A PC is only needed to download calibration certificates for printing or to change station configuration.
Roughly 1000 bump tests per battery chargeThe internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery supports approximately 1000 bump tests between charges, so the station travels to the crew rather than the other way round.
Printable calibration certificatesThe station stores calibration certificates alongside bump and calibration logs and individual monitor event logs, retrievable over PM Link or the supplied USB flash drive.
8 GB removable log storageA standard 8 GB USB flash drive holds up to approximately 10 million test records, together with firmware and unit configurations.
Internal regulator and pressure gaugeThe station has a built-in gas cylinder regulator and pressure gauge and accepts 58L, 103L and 116L cylinders with C10 fittings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which monitors does the AimSafety PM100-STN work with?

The PM100 bump test and calibration station is published as compatible with the CO, H2S and O2 PM100 models. It is not published as compatible with the NH3, SO2, NO2 or H2 models, or with the PM400 series, which uses the separate PM400-STN.

How many monitors can the PM100-STN test at once?

Four. The station bump tests, calibrates, configures settings and updates firmware on up to four PM100 monitors simultaneously.

Does the PM100-STN need a computer?

Not for normal operation. Bump testing and calibration are driven by two buttons on the station itself. A computer running the Station Manager software is only needed to download calibration certificates for printing or to change station configuration.

Which gas cylinders fit the PM100-STN?

58L, 103L and 116L cylinders with C10 fittings. The station has an internal regulator and pressure gauge, so an external fixed-flow regulator is not required.

How long does the PM100-STN battery last?

The internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery supports approximately 1000 bump tests on a single charge.

What is the operating temperature range of the PM100-STN?

41 to 104 °F (5 to 40 °C). Macurco warns that the station may not function effectively outside this range.
